These collars are fool proof if fitted correctly. If your dog is famous for slipping its collar, try a martingale. No more escapee! Fit the collar so that when pulled, it holds firm around the neck.  No choke, and it will sit behind the jaw to stop slipping over the head at the wrong time 

To fit your dog, measure the neck where the collar will sit, and as this collar does not open up, measure the biggest part of your dog’s head to ensure you can slip it over the head without squeezing the ears

When washing, place collar into a thick sock. This will stop damage to hardware and machine, hang to dry
